Why Artist Books?

Claire Illouzis a French printmaker who also makes limited edition artist books.
 She will address her printmaking and bookmaking process in general, 
with special attention to the Whiteness, 
an artist book inspired by Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick (2008).
 This book responds to “The Whiteness of the Whale” 
with philosophical as well as technical finesse.
 NKU’s Steely Library Archive holds one of 25 copies in the world.
