With great sadness we would like to share the news
that today Keith Howard unexpectedly passed away in his sleep.
Keith is known as the inventor of ‘nontoxic’ printmaking,
as the author of many important books on printmaking innovation,
pioneer and creator of acrylic resist etching
and Intaglio Type printmaking,
Head of printmaking at RIT, and a very accomplished and
widely exhibited artist working in printmaking,
photography, and painting.
His creative genius will be missed as much as his Australian charm,
and humor, but his work, his inventions and
incredible contribution to contemporary art,
to modern safety conscious practices and innovation,
and the art of printmaking will surely live on.
